       VOYAGE
      TO AUCKLAND FOUNTAIN PEN
      (ONLY 169
      PIECES MADE)
     An
historical Italian naval training ship, the Amerigo Vespucci will be docked
in Auckland, New Zealand, for the duration of the 2003 Americas Cup races.
The 70-year-old vessel sailed for 169 days on the journey from Italy to New
Zealand last year. Its mission: to promote Italy and Italian-made goods. One
such good is Montegrappa's Amerigo Vespucci Voyage to Auckland limited
edition. The celluloid fountain pen features a sterling silver overlay.
Low-relief engraving and cold enameling are used to form a map tracing the
route of the ship on its journey. The clip reproduces the ship's figurehead.
    Only 169 pieces are offered.
