Montegrappa pays homage to the remarkable pontificate of John Paul II with a special limited edition of the Vatican 2000 Papal Pen, realised in 2000 on the occasion of the Grand Jubilee. In the purest tradition of highest craftsmanship of Montegrappa, this jewel is entirely decorated with symbols of Christian iconography engraved by hand with a burin. The figure of the Pontiff, together with some other details, is then enhanced with the application of pink gold in the silver version and of white gold in the pink gold version. This special limited edition of the Vatican 2000 is proposed in fountain pen version with piston filling system – 476 pieces in sterling silver and 58 pieces in 18K pink gold - and renews Montegrappa support to the charitable project Meniños da Rua which assists the abandoned children of Brazil
