Nakaya pens are all
handmade. There are at least 150 steps in the creation process of a
handmade fountain pen. If the surface finishing and decorating processes
were to be included, it goes up to over 300 steps.

		"Housoge" is a
magnificent flower blossom in paradise. It is a typical pattern found in
		stringed instruments at "Shosoin"(正倉院)
in Nara (Japan) during the Chinese Tang Dynasty and Japanese Tenpyo
period. The line engraving of “Chinkin” technique is engraved around the
curved and tapered surface of the cap & barrel. The additional
dimensional difficulties coupled with the importance of continuous line
engraving reflect the highly skilled craftsmanship of Nakaya. One can
imagine the amount of time and effort taken to realize the art of
		passion.
