Nakaya Dorsal Fin Version 2 Suzu-Ishime Kanshitsu Fountain Pen

The Dorsal Fin Version 2 is created by applying multiple layers of Urushi lacquer over a period of months to create the fin shape on the cap and barrel. The surface is then completed in either smooth Urushi or stone texture Ishime-Kanshitsu finish.
The Dorsal Fin Version 2 in Suzu-ishime finish utilizes a combination of Urushi and silver-hued tin to create a textured, semi-metallic surface. The pen body is hand-turned from naturally harvested ebonite hard rubber, while the fins on the cap and barrel are created by applying multiple layers of natural Urushi lacquer over a period of months.
