In 1576, reports reached a Spanish grandee in Argentina regarding a deposit of metal which local tribes people believed had fallen from the skies. Intrigued, he sent an expedition to investigate this miraculous mineral source. It returned with tales of a plain studded with meteorites large and samll that they named Campo del Ciel, the field of heaven. Campo del Ciel has since become celebrated among meteorite hunters and now over four centures after its initial discovery, dunhill has taken inter-stellar matter from this historically important site and, mixing it with crushed black diamonds, has created a remarkable Sentryman pen, with a deep lustre and patina that makes every bit as mysterious and evocative as, but rather more practical than, the meteorite from which it was born.
