    Classic
Pens Limited was formed in 1987. Fountain pens were a shared passion for the
two founders, Andreas Lambrou and Keith G Brown. Their principal aim was to
create exclusive fountain pens for pen lovers world-wide. This culminated in
1990 with the launch of the Classic Pens CP series of limited editions.
    In
1998, Classic Pens Incorporated was formed in

    Los
    Angeles
    ,

    California

to offer an efficient service to the American market. The Classic Pens
series of limited editions offers the user more than just exquisite
guilloche engravings. Each and every model in the series has been carefully
selected not only for its quality, its history and pedigree and its design,
but also for its writing performance.
    Each
and every pen in the family of the CP series bears witness to the
imaginative originality of Classic Pens and the fastidious craftsmanship of
Murelli. It also demonstrates the technical precision and expertise of
international pen manufacturers. And with every new CP pen, the family of
the CP series increases in diversity and prestige.

    Art
and science working in harmony. The unique blending of classic design and
state-of-the-art technology has made the Pelikan fountain pens legendary
    throughout the world.
    The
distinctive Pelikan beak clip and the Pelikan crest are the hallmark of
classic beauty in every Pelikan fountain pen. This tradition for which
Pelikan is famous, continues today. A loyalty and commitment to those pen
lovers who value the highest quality writing instruments.
    The
nib is the heart of a fountain pen and gives handwriting its personal
character. The 18 carat solid gold nib, finely engraved and with rhodium
decoration, is masterfully produced to the highest standards in the Pelikan
factory. It is finally written in by hand, a commitment to the most
discerning pen lovers. The conscientious choice of materials, the advanced
technology to achieve mechanical precision to the hundredth of a millimeter
and the careful processing are the main reasons for the continued popularity
and success of the Pelikan fountain pens.

    The
air-tight safety cap makes dried-out ink a thing of the past. Pelikan
designed the first piston filler mechanism for fountain pens, making ink
filling easier and cleaner. The transparent ink chamber, another Pelikan
first, allows the user to see the ink level at a glance.
    A
unique ink feed system supplies the correct amount of ink to the nib,
ensuring a smooth even flow. It is the strong commitment to the very best in
design engineering coupled with a dedication to beauty and craftsmanship
that makes the Pelikan fountain pens a joy to hold and a pleasure to use.

    The
traditional art of guilloche engraving has adorned fountain pens for many
years and been passed down through generations. Master craftsmen today
harmonize this art with computer technology to produce linear patterns in
which the lines of engraving run vertically down the pen body.
    Circular
guilloche patterns are formed with lines of engraving running horizontally
around the pen body. They are very distinctive, substantial and of exquisite
beauty, but, alas, are virtually unobtainable today. It is a combination of
hand crafted linear and horizontal engravings, which impart the strength and
complexity to the mosaique pattern of the CP6 MARGUERITE.

    A
hand engraver dating from 1927 was reactivated from the Murelli museum. On
this machine, Marc Murelli, crafted the mosaique design completely by hand.
The engraving process is labor intensive and very lengthy but the result is
a magnificent guilloche pattern, unequalled by modern methods. And since the
    mosaique pattern is completely hand

    crafted,
every CP6 MARGUERITE in the series of 500 pens is a little different from
    the rest and unique.

    Using
modern computer technology for linear engraving, as well as the
craftsmanship of Murelli, the cascade engraved composition has been created
exclusively for the CP6 CHARLOTTE. The exquisite cascade pattern reflects
the most advanced state-of-the-art concepts in contemporary design.

    The
CP series of limited editions reflects the Classic Pens policy of devising
new and original designs through which writing instruments transcend their
function, and become objects of beauty as precious as jewelry, as well as
    valuable investments and future heirlooms.

    The
density and complexity of the MARGUERITE mosaique design, has some
uniformity, it is pleasing and relaxing to the eye, but at the same time it
is powerful. All these elements identify the great poem 'Faust', especially
the final part which suggests contentment, order, regularity and comfort.

    These
exclusive patterns were created through the fruitful cooperation between
    Murelli and Classic Pens.

    The
CP6 series of MARGUERITE & CHARLOTTE bears witness to the imaginative
originality of Classic Pens, the fastidious craftsmanship of Murelli and the
technical precision and expertise of Pelikan.
