Caran d'Ache La Modernista
Limited Edition Fountain Pen
Paying homage to Catalan Modernism, Caran d' Ache has created this work
of art as part of its Private Collection. Each pen is constructed of
solid silver bathed in rhodium and enamel inlayed. There were 1888
pieces made for world-wide distribution. The number 1888 is a symbolic
date in the history of Modernism. The creators of this work of art were
inspired by the exotic designs and polychrome mosaics which were typical
of Modernism, an artistic movement which was born in Barcelona at the
turn of the 19th Century.
The
"La Modernista", a homage to Catalan Modernism, is a masterpiece
of modern design.
Introduced in 1996, it is a collector's pen that was produced in a strictly
limited edition of 1,888 pieces. The total number of pens in the edition and
the number of the individual model are engraved on the barrel and recorded
in the certificate which accompanies each pen.
This exquisite creation is crafted from 925 sterling silver overlaid with
rhodium, a precious metal that won't tarnish and which is more valuable than
gold. It features an 18 karat gold nib which is also overlaid with rhodium.
An inkwell is also included.

used. The fountain pen has never been dipped nor inked. Comes with original box and paper as shown above. I accept
