The 
		second in ”series III” of Indigenous People. Delta’s imaginary voyage 
		encounters this year (2006) Amazon’s indigenous people: Indios – Irmãos 
		no Mundo [brothers in the world]. The Indigenous peoples of the Amazon 
		comprise a large number of distinct ethnic groups who inhabited the 
		country's present territory prior to its discovery by the Portuguese 
		around 1500. The first Portuguese explorers called them índios 
		("Indians"), a name that is still used today in Brazil.
