FORTUNE DRAGON IN SOLID GOLD WITH DIAMONDS AS THE EYES
Visconti since it’s founding, Visconti has taken inspiration for its
extraordinary designs from the great masterpieces of the world history.
The Dragon represents an Impressive symbol for many diverse cultures as
well as special significance for the Chinese people While researching
Chinese culture, Visconti found particularly Interesting antique lattice
windows, used In China for over 3000 years.
Overview
of the beautiful pen. Clever design to have the pen looked vintage. The
red/black mottled ebonite with gold filling engraving is simply
superb!!
These windows, pasted with paper to keep out the cold and winter winds,
were such every day items that ancient artists incorporated traditional,
writing characters into ornate patterns where each design held specific
symbolic meanings. One of the most beautiful of these designs, and the
core of the engraving of the most recent Visconti masterpiece, is an
ancient Chinese character signifying "happiness".

This is a very commonly used word in Chinese society, especially when
referring to events and circumstances relating to the wedding ceremony. In
ancient times, affluent Chinese people had this symbol engraved on
precious jade pieces, using them as good-luck charms, and wearing them on
their belts for good luck and protection against evil Chinese symbols of
good luck make up the core of the design the Solid Gold Dragon, a functional clip,
with its diamond eyes, engravings filled in gold and last, but not least, the
body in red/black mottled ebonite, designed in the shape of the
"Temple of Heaven" in Beijing

of cap. The clip is "pivoted" at the center of the Dragon's body
so that when you press it's tail downwards, the Dragon head is lifted to
clip onto the pocket. I call this Ergonomics design :-))
This Dragon has certainly attracted lots of attention
during my meeting with my customers. Visconti Dragon is really stunning in
its own way. It has positioned itself differently from the Montblanc
Imperial Dragon. Visconti Dragon is more elaborate in design, the ebonite
barrel has the "Chinese" design with gold filling. Can see that
there was effort from Visconti to make this different from Montblanc
Imperial dragon.
Solid gold 18K Dragon
Visconti named our their creation "The Fortune Dragon" hoping it
will bring its users the same good luck and protection promised by this
ancient symbol.

Pen is new and never been
used. The fountain pen has never been dipped nor inked. Comes with original
wooden box , paper as shown
above, ink pot and eye dropper. I accept
